We all remember a country we called home. A green and pleasant
land that gave the world the English language, Democracy, the
Mother of Parliaments and the Magna Carta. But some people don’t
want us to remember - currently £100,000 is spent on a festival
such as St Patrick’s Day whereas St George’s Day is mocked with a
screening of ‘The Life of Brian’ in Trafalgar Square.
England has been abandoned by our ruling political classes, and
so too, has her legacy. On May 1st you will have a choice who you
elect as Mayor. A choice between a Mayor who belongs to a
Scottish-run government, and the party of England. Between the
politics of the past, and the politics of the future.
I believe that at least one of the candidates standing for Mayor
should be standing for you, not Scotland.
That candidate is me, Matt O’Connor.
That Party is the English Democrats.
We are not left or right, just English...
I’m proud to be a Londoner.
Proud to stand for integration, not segregation. Proud to
celebrate our heroes like Lord Nelson, not just Nelson Mandela.
Proud to campaign for a national holiday on 23rd April, St George’s
