How to vote
On 1 May 2008 Londoners will elect both the Mayor of London and
the 25 members of the London Assembly. All British, Commonwealth or
EU citizens aged 18 or over and living in London are eligible to
vote, as long as they are on the electoral register.

The day after polling day, all the first and second choice votes
are counted and a winner is announced.

Did you know?
London Elects will need 366 tonnes of papers to print enough
copies of the Mayoral booklet for everyone in London.
About 800,000 people will vote by post in 2008, more than twice
as many as in 2004.
In the last elections in 2004, 1,920,533 people voted - a
turnout of 37%.
