"Coming to the UK as a teenage Afghan refugee, I’ve been fighting against inequality and adversity all my life. Forging a career in healthcare, I’ve always cared about creating a fairer and compassionate world. Now, with the urgency of the multiple crises facing us, I believe it’s important to lead for change. It’s time to act now, to stand against the climate, biodiversity and health emergencies, and the inequalities faced by many Londoners.

Incentivise public & active transport, improving reliability, safety & affordability

Enhance protection for the millions of animals in the capital, establishing an Animal Welfare Committee within the London Assembly

Lead on creating homes for all that are affordable & sustainable

Make our capital a global leader in opposing speciesism - where wildlife is valued & managed non-lethally, developments in animal-free testing are championed & the sale of foie gras & fur is rejected

Dedicate urgently needed space for nature & ensure pesticide & herbicide use becomes a thing of the past
